Bloody hell what can I say, this is amazing! Very bassey mix mind! But I think you've made your point...I didn't believe you when you said in that email that you had a tune to one up a legend! I love your glide pads...You should update, when you get a chance and tell us what outboard you used. I imagine this was mixed on your surround sound setup?

I will say Dimension is a very different song (you can't beat the saxophone playing), but you definitely have this in the power dance category, with I dare say trance aspects. Anyway much love Stu.

Thanks young Stu! I'll tell you what I'll get a full list of the synths and peripherals I used tomorrow, as I've still got quite a bit of work to do tonight as I'm working on some stuff for a client. I used the Adams in a 5.1 setup to mix down on. I tested it on my Hi-Fi and it sounded really good. Maybe your headphones are bassy or something? But maybe a remix may happen, I kind of want to hear back from more people about it first before I make an informed decision, if I should remix or not. But as I said it sounds good on my end and I'm not going to let out a tune sounds like complete rubbish. I never really said I was trying to one up Creo, and is song is pretty cool, but as I said I thought I could do better, mix might not be quite there yet, but I'll fix that next time around!

This was a really good attempt at a remake and the mix doesn't sound too bad, I tell you I don't like the vocoder. just don't believe we got bombed out again, and when I came around here earlier it had five stars!

When you come around the studio next weekend I'll show the PM I got literally after it was bombed out, they admitted it. and they basically stated that this kid couldn't make music, got poor scores, so why should we? He also stated that didn't want this song front paged like what we got last week with "The Grid", he said "The Grid" was a poor song and didn't understand why we had front paged. I personally thought The Grid was a really good song and was a bit of a conceptual song in the fact that id never mixed down that many tracks in one go, and got it to sound pretty good. I don't particularly think its fair at all, but what you going to do about, diddly squat.

Interesting song I will say, but you don't sound anywhere close to the robots...I've PM'd you! You know what the challenge was.. only inspired by RAM, I know you could easily do this as well

Seen your PM and responded, have a good night stu

This was one very enjoyable project, those Oasys strings really made the difference I think, it was either that or using HAlion sonic SE, the brass sections sounds very good! This ended up as a forty track project, even with both audio and VST channels it was a bit of an ass to mix down efficiently, and it kept crashing my computer while trying to bounce it down. Your Wavelab touch has really brightened the track up, can't wait until next weekend when we can do this kind of thing again! Even though its but a fart in a hurricane compared to Daft Punks work, this is one pretty epic piece.

fireball01e responds:

That Oasys is one of my favourite instruments I own, and I've had it since new. Its synthesis engine is extremely powerful. I'm currently mixing down part 2 of this which might be available sometime this afternoon, but really depends what my GF wants to do as it is bank weekend. Daft Punk is nearly untouchable, I wouldn't even try to do any of their pieces as you would probably fail miserably. But Epics not word to use with this track, I'll get back to you on what I decide to call it overall! I'm surprised that your computer had problems, as it seemed fine last night.

Daniel may I pretty please use this track and remix it?

fireball01e responds:

Yes you may young padawan!

Just got home and found this on your channel, mix is good, master needs a bit of excitement possibly, but it sounds really good. I tell you this now my favourite accordion piece, when before it was "Chamberlain" which I still love but this an amazing live tune, just get the song out of my head! I didn't tell you but this song came to me in a dream and I dream't that I had mapped it into cubase, then woke up and thank god my computer had failed to shut, because managed to get the core down, into cubase and then reviewed it a few hours later, around nine o'clock and recorded the Roland in. I'm really happy with how this gone down and particularly care if flops on here or not because the original already got a hundred plays on Soundcloud and this is definitely going to be a very good live piece!

fireball01e responds:

Bad news looks like zero stared all your work again, which is a shame as this was a really good track!

Not quite dubstep, but its really cool tune by the way, can I use it in my upcoming video, it's going to be a animation that my brother is making for Youtube. It's going to be really cool when it comes together.

fireball01e responds:

I see your new Dubstep track you made, called "Example", erm yes it's very different and even though it is dubstep, you need to do some work on your drums, as its a little OTT, but I really like the track. I'll email or PM details about using this song in Jessie's upcoming animation project, but yes from what you've shown me of his work so far I think it will be an excellent video and animation!

This is pretty experimental and in a way its pretty cool, but its really weird at the same time. Sounds nice through my monitors! Have you seen that I've now just released Concept part 4 which is really cool! Come check it out when you get a chance?

fireball01e responds:

Concept four is really cool and even cooler that you're bringing out Concept as an album! Please keep me posted!

I think he sounds like a androginos angel? wow is all I can say and that vocoder section is brutal, it's so clean! What did you use for the vocoder section? I think your 2600 is dream worthy...aren't they like 4K these days even for a clone? I don't know if you watch Firechild on YouTube but he just got hold of a original Arp 2600, to be honest is haven't go onto YouTube and type into search "Mr Firechild" I don't get where he gets the money for his kit but he's got a Yamaha CS-80 and CP-80! But still in awe of your kit and your studio, you lucky git!

davisloman responds:

I know Mr Firechild pretty well as I've done a collaboration with him in the past, he's very good at what he does! Anyway I used the Korg Radias for the vocoder on this track.

Cool track! its Martin right? Very high pitch voice, nearly womanish! the harmonies and chorus might need a bit of a remix. But yes very close to early 80's disco! Mind you Sylvester is like a million times better!

fireball01e responds:

Yeah it was Martin Goodman which is singing on this track, yeah I need sort the slight clipping, but I all in all I think this alright! Sylvester is very hard to beat, he really knew what he was doing shame really that he died how he in the late 80's, really enjoyed his music! This is my personal favourite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG2ixYJ79iE You make me feel mighty real.

I am a musician from the south of the UK, I like making music and playing with my synths. I've made game music and electronic music professionally in the past. I aim to keep on designing delightful and complex music for many years to come.
